There were flower and food deliveries to Jay-Z's Tribecca apartment. And all the media say a wedding took place.

But the couple still seems to be denying it. We guess this is because they have sold the rights to their wedding photos to one of the tabloid.

The report is that wedding-like activities swirled around the Manhattan apartment with many deliveries, as well as relatives and friends, coming in by car or limo.

The New York Post said Beyonce used the gym in the building as her bridal suite.

Some reports say there were 30 guests.

Lindsay Lohan is a beautiful young woman and a truly talent actor. Why does she feel compelled to take her clothes off in public and what moved her to pose as Marilyn Monroe in New York Magazine?

She has the natural talent. Why show the birthday suit?

When my issue of New York Magazine arrived with Lindsay Lohan as Marilyn Monroe on the cover, I did not know that the spread with included extremely clear glimmers of her naked form.

But my 16 year old son found out soon enough. I found myself grabbing it from his hands. He grabbed it back.

And then my husband grabbed it.

I can only imagine how many guys did there same. I can only imagine how sales soared that week.

The nudity in a mainstream magazine shocked me. But more over, I was upset to see Lindsay emulating a dead celebrity who lost or gave up her life so young. That is bad Feng Shui. It is like taking on the energy of such a sad, and ultimately lost, star.

There was really nothing good about -- from the perspective of mothers and people who would like to see her heal and snap out of her tendency toward self-destructiveness -- except Michael Musto's truly bitchy spoof on it in the Village Voice.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been named Hollywood's most influential couple in a new poll from Forbes.com.

The magazine mulled through press clippings and online stories on high profile couples to assess those who seemed to have the greatest impact on popular culture. The good-deed-doing duo of Brangelina won top honors.

Their humanitarian acts make them likable and their growing intercultural family makes them interesting.

With all this press on Brad and Angie as the perfect couple, it begs the question: Is Brad Pitt still considered hot?

Michelle Pfeiffer said recently on a UK TV show that if George Clooney ever weds he will have to pay her $100,000, even before he starts plunking down cash for a big million dream wedding.

Apparently, Clooney bet Pfeiffer $100,000 that he would never tie the knot. They stared together in the romantic comedy One Fine Day and have been friends since.

“I bet him he would get married and he keeps inflating the bet - from 100 dollars to 100,000 dollars,” Pfeiffer told talk show host Jonathan Ross last Friday.

She thinks he will wed someday, anyway. But just in case, good thing Madame Tussauds Las Vegas offers a chance to wed bachelor George.

They have a terrific interactive attraction called "Marry Clooney.” There, you can step into a real wedding gown and into an authentic Vegas wedding chapel environment, and wax poetic with the hunky movie star as you share vows and pose for photos.

George will not protest - in fact, he won't say a word since he is present in the form of a wax figure wearing a tuxedo -- but it will be fun just the same!

A Las Vegas Judge set OJ free this morning on $125,000 bail.

Whether guilty or not, right or wrong, this case puts him in the headlines again and brings up a lot of memories from his last trial.

Let's hope all the weddings that O.J. does not attend in Las Vegas go a lot smoother than the one he attended last weekend.

This is not a good Las Vegas wedding story.

O.J. Simpson was arrested Sunday, charged and the story is dominating the news. So sad that he came to Las Vegas to attend a wedding and made a mess of it for the bride, groom and his oldest daughter, Arnell, who was the wedding planner.

He was supposedly in town, he told authorities, for a wedding.

Afterwards, Simpson is alleged to have busted into a Las Vegas hotel room to steal memorabilia related to his career. He was with three other men, who he was said to have met at a wedding reception.

As the Associated Press is reporting from Las Vegas, "O. J. Simpson and three other men were charged Tuesday with 10 felony counts, including kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon, in the purported theft of at least $80,000 worth of sports memorabilia from a hotel room."

The groom, who was implicated at first, has been cleared of charges. What a honeymoon!

The charges against Simpson are serious. And it comes as no surprise that there are a lot of people rooting for a stiff prison penalty for former NFL star and actor, who is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.

Although it didn't work out with Alanis Morissette, looks like actor Ryan Reynolds has not sworn off love.
In fact, he could be more ready than ever.

He's been dating talented Scarlett Johansson since April and rumor has it he might want a little more than boyfriend status.

Could it be Alanis so prepared him for a lasting relationship that he is ready for one, even without her?

We were sad when multi-talented Morissette and the handsome Van Wilder actor Reynolds called it quits, but lets hope they are both equally lucky in new love.

As for Johansson, 22, she is not eager to hop on the baby-marriage-breakup bandwagon with Reynolds, 30, and says she is still too young for big love. They will have to settle for "crazy for each other" for now!

I had a super hard time watching Britney Spears on the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

MTV took over the Palms and Las Vegas glittered even more with all the stars in town. But Britney's big comeback was the big event. Most people agree it was an almost startling experience ... to see her work her way through her act looking like a kid on stage for a college production. Although talent was never one of her strong suits, her live performance was distressing.

As one who is a definite stranger to the concept of sit ups, but as one who knows that Brit once did at least 500 crunches a day, I hate to make a fat comment. But hey, baby had back. Too much of it for that tiny little black sparkly bikini, on national TV. The camera was not kind to her. And she seemed lost.

Is it mean to compare Brit, mom of two, at 25, to Brit, young, sleek, hip and dripping with sensuality at 20?

Personally, I think all the Spice Girl's are scary! I never got 'em. Never will. Still can't understand what the big fuss was! Alas, once a star ... always in the gossip pages!

We know that Scary Spice, a.k.a. Melanie Brown has been trying to scare up a paternity admission and child support from her ex-flame Eddie Murphy, who recently got engaged to his current love Tracey Edmonds. It's been a bitter paternity battle related to Brown's baby girl, Angel.

Brown and Murphy dated briefly -- but long enough to conceive a daughter apparently/allegedly -- and Brown has been after him to do the right thing. Word has it that Murphy now admits he fathered the child and says he has been paying child support.

Now we find out that Scary Spice has found new love and quietly spoke her vows in Las Vegas in June with boyfriend and music producer Stephen Belafonte. He becomes step dad to baby Angel and Brown's eight year old daughter Phoenix.

We’ve all seen the occasional bride and groom in various properties up and down the Strip. Okay, we’ve seen lots of them.

And certainly we’ve seen many 20-somethings partying it up before tying the knot.

I stumbled today on this story out of London Ontario Canada about Ms. Bell and her posse who have extravagant plans for the weekend.

From the article it looks like the theme of the get-together is “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”

I decided it was worth linking to — after all, it’s well written — by way of example. You see, it’s almost a rite of passage for us earthlings to have or attend at least one Vegas party. And the occasion is usually related to a wedding.

So if you happen to see a group of crazy Canadian girls in pink tank tops roaming the Strip this weekend, ask if one of them is Elaine Bell.

It is NASCAR weekend in Las Vegas, and spotting drivers and their teams around town is easier than turn two at the Las Vegas Speedway.

During the week there have been numerous sightings of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and others. Tuesday, 2004 NASCAR champ and Las Vegas native, Kurt Busch, was at the Mandalay Bay's Mix for dinner.
At Caesars Palace's Pure on Tuesday were Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Michael Waltrip, and Elliott Sadler.

Also there were former Pittsburg Steeler Jerome Bettis and ESPN's Kenny Mayne. Mayne is a former UNLV quarterback who recently was on "Dancing with the Stars."
Bettis was also seen Wednesday, not that he is hard to miss, at the Rio taking in Blues Traveler. Snoop Dogg was scheduled to perform; however, Blues Traveler was a late replacement.

The new owner of the Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas is concerned about a possible ban on Elvis impersonators. Brendan Paul not only owns the Chapel, but he is a veteran Elvis impersonator.

It seems that Robert F.X. Sillerman owns the rights to control Elvis' name and likeness. He is planning a major Elvis presence in Las Vegas and told the New York Times he has not decided the fate of the Elvis Impersonators.

The founder and creator of "Legends in Concert" believes it would be impossible to put a stop to the impersonators. John Stuart said, "You've got 20,000 Elvis impersonators out there. He could never stop all of them. Besides there is First Amendment protection." Years ago, Stuart paid Elvis Presley Enterprises $100,000 for the right to use "Elvis" in his lineup.

Another local impersonator, Steve Connolly, stated that he did 700 shows his first year in Las Vegas. Top impersonators are said to make over $300,000 a year. No way are they going away without a fight.

So if your dream wedding is to be married by "Elvis," then you might want to book your flights and exchange your vows before Sillerman takes the dream away.

Just weeks after Paula Abdul made news in Las Vegas for upsetting workers at a local hotel and casino, she is back in the news for an apparent security breach at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas.

It seems she was allowed to board a plane at the Las Vegas airport without passing through a security checkpoint, prompting all passengers and luggage to be screened when they landed in California.

It was reported that a worker led the "American Idol" judge and a companion around the mandatory screening process before they boarded a Southwest Airlines flight headed to Burbank, Calif., Thursday afternoon, said Elaine Sanchez, a spokeswoman for McCarran International Airport.

She said she could not confirm reports that the employee was trying to help the pop star avoid a swarm of fans.

Federal Transportation Safety Administration officials were alerted to the security breach while the plane was in the air. An internal investigation to see who exactly was responsible is being conducted.

Paris Hilton photographed wearing a wedding gown? Don’t get too jealous, guys. There may still be a chance for you.

Hilton was wearing the designer gown during London’s Fashion Week event. But, unless you’re willing to shell out for an eight-foot bouquet of flowers for her on Valentine’s Day (as her mega-rich boyfriend did), don’t get your hopes up.

Of course, if you were in Las Vegas on February 17, at Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace where she held her birthday party, you could have had your chance to profess your undying love to her.

The Hilton hotel heiress turned 25. That’s right, Paris is a quarter of a century old.

Not to worry, though. With her family wealth, she can probably buy the sands of time to keep the wrinkles at bay. It seems to be working. She doesn’t look a day over 12.

According to reports, the number of couples seeking marriage licenses in Clark County, Nevada this year will be as high as or higher than past years.

As of 7 p.m. Monday, February 13, over 600 people had requested marriage licenses from the Clark County Marriage License Bureau, with an estimate of 200 more to be processed before midnight.

On The Day of Love, today, February 14, it's anticipated there will be another 600 licenses issued. That's twice the number of licenses for a normal weekday.

Throughout the Vegas Valley, it is estimated that couples will be married every 10-15 minutes starting at midnight, February 14, and not letting up until after midnight, February 15.

It seems they all want "The LOVE-DATE" for an anniversary.

Not me. That means one less gift a year. Send me flowers on my anniversary AND on Valentine's Day!

What do Sheryl Crow, Lance Armstrong and Las Vegas have in common? Apparently Vegas became the stage for Armstrong to act out and the reason for Crow to walk out.

According to publicists, Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong have called off their wedding.

According to In Touch Weekly — yes, one of those lovely tabloids —Lance and some friends kicked off a January 24 visit to Vegas with dinner and four bottles of wine at Spago in Caesars Palace. Then they hit the casino floor and enjoyed gambling and flirting.

According to the tabloid, "Lance was completely drunk and flirtatious," and onlookers were shocked when he stumbled out of the club at 2 a.m. with a woman.

Apparently Lance was seen later that week in Beverly Hills at Mastro's Steakhouse where he was on the prowl and flirting with every girl in site.

Keep in mind it’s rumored the couple split in mid-December so Lance and Sheryl, in the words of Friends’ Ross, could have been on a break at the time.

The seven-time Tour de France winner and the Grammy-winning pop star Sheryl Crow officially announced their split on February 3. Guess there’s no Vegas wedding in sight for the celebrity couple.

I understand it was the place to spot celebrities.

The couple was married in a small, private ceremony in Maine on Friday. (The average temperature in Maine for February is 34º F. The average temperature in Vegas during the month of love is 63º F.)

The actress most recently has been on the popular television show The Sheild.

She has been nominated for five Oscars, most recently for Dangerous Liaisons in 1989.

Close has a 17 year-old daughter, Annie, from one of her previous marriages. This is union number three for the actress.

Perhaps you’ve heard of the crazy magician duo performing regularly at the Rio?

Penn Jillett, the vocal part of Penn & Teller, and his wife are expecting their second child this spring. The news broke last Thursday.

Penn, 50, and his wife, Emily, 39 had their first child, a daughter named Moxie CrimeFighter, last June in Las Vegas. Does anyone else see humor in the couple’s 11-year age gap or their creative child naming antics?

The couple was married at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel in November 2004.

Word is that Jennifer Ellison, former BBC Brookside actress, is planning to marry her long-term beau Tony Richardson at Vegas’ Little White Wedding Chapel on Valentine's Day.

According to a friend, as reported in the Daily Star, "Jennifer and Tony have been wanting to get married for ages and at one point were thinking of a lavish bash. But now they've decided to jet off to Vegas for three days over Valentine's and get married there for a giggle.

"Both of their families will be there and a selection of close pals - but none of Jen's showbiz pals will go as they want to keep the day private. Scott Henshall is the favourite dress designer to make Jen's gown and Tony has his sights on an Oswald Boateng suit."

Superman and Wonder Woman, aka Phil Robinson and Louse Smith, were married by Elvis at the Little Chapel of the Flowers on Jan. 27, 2006.

The British couple, from Atherton, decided that since they had already done the fancy wedding thing, they just wanted to have fun with their second marriage vows.

Louise had dreamed of getting married dressed as Wonder Woman and Phil already had a Superman costume. They decided Vegas were the perfect place for two super heroes to be married.

Here’s a strange story for you . . .

On Valentine’s Day Kanchana Ketkaew, who set a world record in 2002 for spending 32 days in a glass cage with 3,400 scorpions, plans to marry Bunthawee Siengwong, who set a Thai record for enduring 28 days with 1,000 centipedes.

The couple plans to be married in a ceremony called “Til Death Do Us Part” at Ripley’s Hunted Adventure House in Pattaya, Thailand, 50 miles south of Bangkok. After exchanging vows they plan to climb into a coffin to consummate their vows.

Kanchana’s world record was beaten in 2004. Guess that makes her the scorpion princess now.

Eminem and Kim Mathers got married, again. Yep, Eminem exchanged vows last Saturday with Kim Mathers for the second time.

They apparently found divorce didn't work. They had divorced in October 2001, just two years after marrying the first time.

The ceremony, which took place in Detroit, was attended by friends and family with helicopters hovering and paparazzi flashing cameras at every chance.

Those attending included 50 Cent, members of D 12, Obie Trice and members. It was reported that Deshaun Holton, D 12's Proof, was the Best man. The couple, who were high school sweethearts, has a daughter together.

It is being proposed in the Utah Legislature that couples take classes mandated by the state before obtaining marriage licenses. The classes would cover finances, parenting, and anything the state feels necessary to make a successful marriage. Now wouldn't you like to write that handbook?
