Cupid Haters Revolt with Fun Products this Valentine's Day

There are a lot of Valentine's Day haters out there!

Has the holiday of hearts become a target for people who feel that the Hallmark induced version of February 14th brings too much pressure or disappointment?

It is always a holiday where everyone tries to sell us on love--chocolate, diamond, stuffed animal, mushy cards, condoms-with-hearts on them kind of love. This year, some folks have decided to try to sell us the anti-love angle.

We got a press release stating: "Cupid-haters have designed more than 358,500 anti-Valentine’s Day products on CafePress, the go-to Web site for make-your-own anything."

So we checked it out. While they do have sincere and sweet love stuff, they seem to have a collection of down-on- romance, love-stinks kind of items. Maybe love is a hard sell these days, and snarky comments and anti-relationship sentiments are more marketable.

From "Love is for Losers" t-shirts to "This will end in tears" thongs, you can find an assortment of items that flip the bird to February 14th--in an affordable way. There are greeting cards, and special collectible coasters and keepsake boxes, such as the one that says, "I can't believe how much I'm not sick of you."

We still vote for love, but see the humor in these items.
