I am loving this quote from Henry Drummond. Ever stop to think how much time you spend not doing things in the spirit of love. Kvetching, complaining, feeling annoyed and put-upon have become so much a part of our daily lives and culture.

What if, even when we do things we don't love, we do them in the spirit of love?

This makes it more of an act of service to God, and less of an annoying obligation to fill.

This does not mean that life is not also filled with annoying obligations and tasks. It just means we get over it, and see that in every task, there is a place for love - expressing it, feeling it, being it.

I know one person who is awesome at doing things in the spirit of love -- my husband Victor. He truly knows how take care of even the worst situations by approaching them in the spirit of love and service. Hope to be more like him when I grow up.
