Many Women Said No to Valentine's Day Dates

Fifty percent of women said "no" (or had no) Valentine's Day date this past Valentine's Day, according to a V-Day survey conducted by AOL's MyDaily.com.

Most considered themselves free and single, and able to choose something else to do on that night.

Women also weighed in on what gets them in the mood and how they feel about V-Day proposals:

• Only 8% say Oysters get them in the mood, vs. 67% and 37% respectively who say chocolate or champagne get them in the mood

• Going against the grain of popular convention and trend, most single women surveyed are not that into V-day proposals (85% say either “they are not really for me” or they are “cheesy”)
